Current status (2026-10-01 05:37 UTC): RESTRICTED — Severely restricted. AIS-visible commercial traffic is about 5% of normal: 4.6 a day over the past week, against 84.8 before the crisis. Ships are crossing under US naval coordination; Iran claims control and requires transit permits; the official threat level is severe.
