What is happening at Kharg Island

Latest updates →

Loading at Kharg Island's western terminal halted from 18 July to 12 August 2026, a 25-day shutdown (The National, citing Windward and TankerTrackers, 16 Aug 2026). PortWatch records very few calls here even in normal times (91 a year in its reference data), so its figures say little about actual loadings at Iran's main crude export terminal.

Iranian ports have been under a US naval blockade since 14 July 2026 (Wikipedia). US Central Command said 122 commercial vessels had been redirected as of 25 September (CENTCOM, 25 Sep 2026).
